In 2011/2012, Gráinne attained a Diploma in Popular Music Performance BIMM London (formerly Tech Music School London) and a Pearson Edexcel BTEC National Diploma in Drumming.
Gráinne studied under the watchful eye of numerous members of musical royalty including Ed Williams (Scott James (Manic Street Preachers), Pete Cunnah (D:Ream) and Steve Lyon (Paul McCartney, Depeche Mode), among many others), Iain Goodall (Cara Dillon, TM Stevens (James Brown, Miles Davis) and Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy). He also writes a monthly ‘sight reading’ column for a UK drumming magazine), Erik Stams (Walter Schreifles (Quicksand and Rival Schools) & 20+ years of performing and recording experience), Simon Colam (the accompanist for ITV’s X Factor in the boot camp and judges’ house rounds, and is rehearsal pianist for the live shows. He was the accompanist for televised master classes including Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, Abba, Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, Will Young, Take That and Queen, and is also rehearsal pianist for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent), Jacob Quistgaard (Guitar Techniques magazine recently branding him ‘a rock master’. He currently plays lead guitar for British rock legend Bryan Ferry with whom he will be touring in the future), Svetlana Vassileva (touring bass player for Moby, performed at many recording and TV sessions for artists such as Glenn Tilbrook, John Barrowman and Sharleen Spiteri) and Victy Silva (Victy has voiced many commercials and film soundtracks and credits include Tom Jones, Placebo, Suede, Mick Ronson, SAHB, Nazareth and Manfred Mann. She’s been musical director on shows in the West End including Dame Edna Everage and John, Paul, George, Ringo and Bert)
